If you're facing physical, emotional or mental challenges, or if you just want more peace and happiness, here are 10 ways singing can change your life.

1. Promotes deep breathing!
As you begin to use "full body breathing" with a relaxed, soft belly, you allow the diaphragm to drop down, giving the lungs the freedom to expand more fully. Relaxed abdominals are essential for proper breath support while singing. I like to think of "filling up like a balloon" when I sing. This gives firm, active breath support and allows for deep, full breathing. Singing promotes slow, deep, healthy breathing, and exercises the lungs.

Immune BOOSTING FIRE CIDER

https://www.allaboutvoice.com/all-about-voice-blog/immune-boosting-fire-cider

https://www.allaboutvoice.com/all-about-voice-blog/immune-boosting-fire-cider#comments

Uncategorized

Singing is a great way to stay healthy. When you're singing you:Breath deeplyOxygenate your bloodstreamRelease endorphinsBoost your immune systemBring blood flow to the throat and vocal cordsBut we can all use extra immune boosting help in these times. I came across this fantastic immune tonic from #eatingbirdfood that everyone should have on hand. It has fantastic ingredients like garlic, tumeric, ginger, horseradish and lots of other of Nature's natural immune boo [...]

Singing is a great way to stay healthy.

When you're singing you:

Breath deeply

Oxygenate your bloodstream

Release endorphins

Boost your immune system

Bring blood flow to the throat and vocal cords

But we can all use extra immune boosting help in these times.
I came across this fantastic immune tonic from #eatingbirdfood that everyone should have on hand. It has fantastic ingredients like garlic, tumeric, ginger, horseradish and lots of other of Nature's natural immune boosters!

Make a batch and tell me how you like it!
This will do wonders for you, so use it daily.

IMMUNE BOOSTING FIRE CIDER from #eatingbirdfood

And of course.....keep singing!

Is there a monster in your closet? Usually folks will say 'I'd love to come, but I'm just too terrified to sing in front of people.' Or a musician who registered for the class emailed me, very concerned saying 'Will I make a fool of myself in front of everyone?

These responses are so common, but this is exactly why I offer this workshop! For those very reasons, so that everyone can GET RID OF THEIR FEARS, and take the stage without all those blocks and baggage keeping them from something they love!

There are three ways we avoid our fears: 1) by discounting - saying 'oh, it doesn't matter if I ever sing again…it's silly anyway."
2) by disliking - saying "Oh, I hate to sing, I'm a terrible singer."
3) by being in denial - by putting it out of our mind without thought or comment
And all three ways of avoiding our fear keeps us from living our fullest, best life.

If you were given the opportunity to get rid of a lifelong fear, why wouldn't you? When you keep your fear locked up in a closet, you may think 'it doesn't matter', or 'you don't like it', or you refuse to think about it. But your subconscious mind thinks about it all the time; it KNOWS what's behind that closet door. And continued avoidance only causes disappointment, stress and disease. Wouldn't it be easier to just get over your fear and do that thing that you've always wanted to do?

I've been a singer for 40 years and I've had my own case of stage fear early on. But I got over it, and now that I have years of experience, I'm able to create a system for getting rid of fear on the physical, emotional and mental levels so that you are finally clear of its burden.

If there's something you want to do in life, don't trivialize it; don't ignore it; find a way to have the courage to transcend your fear and live that dream. If not you will forever regret that you didn't face the monster in the closet, that in reality is nothing more than a product of faulty logic created when you were too young to create your own truth. If you'll open the door and face your fear, you'll be surprised to see that it's nothing more than dust and cobwebs that can no longer hurt you.

What's the monster that's holding YOU back?

Cheers, Beth Lawrence
Copyright ©2019, All rights reserved, Beth Lawrence

Music Improves reading skills

https://www.allaboutvoice.com/all-about-voice-blog/music-improves-reading-skills

https://www.allaboutvoice.com/all-about-voice-blog/music-improves-reading-skills#comments

Uncategorized

Music Improves Reading SkillsDo you know anyone who has Dyslexia?
